I suggest researching companies you might be interested in and looking up career section on their website directly.

Sometimes they are accepting applications even without job opening, like an expression of interest application...
So had a chat earlier today with an agent and it always goes like this eligibility, criminality and security not started. Everything looks normal.
But today he said my file is currently in queue for review by an officer.
Now I wonder what that means. This is actually the first positive update I've recieved in months.

Same situation same VO, but my file was approved on Mar 14th, based on the average waiting time from file approval to landing interview email by Vancouver office I think I’m probably going to receive it early May ... thank you so much for sharing!!

I wonder how they come to knowing this. If they look purely at GCMS notes, then it might be the part, which says that your file is assigned to someone

GCMS requested on 3/4.
GCMS received on 4/2. It shows Criminality In Progress, Eligibility & Security not started.
Ghost Update: Apri 5th
Call Agent on April 8th, was told file completed. Agent said officer hasn't taken the next step yet (I guess it means PPR not sent yet).
Currently waiting for PPR.

My Criminality is showing in progress since Dec 14 ( notes ordered 19/2), eligibility and security not started.
Looks like they are picking up files last minute and then it's moving fast after.

(I'm trying to figure out how they assign VO. I'm in BC and Vancuver makes sense for landing interview, but no idea how I ended up in Calgary)
I don't think it has anything to do with where I live. I'm currently living in Toronto. According to my notes, my file was originally assigned to Ottawa and transferred to Calgary due to workload distribution in the first month after AOR.
Ya although I'm anxious and worried, there's honestly nothing we can do to change the current circumstance. I'm trying to keep myself busy with work so that I don't have to pay much attention to this sort of things. Try not to let IRCC ruin my normal life routine lol. Man this is such a painful process.

Cent % of advice, just make sure to call cic and check your progress, you might get some valuable information and sometimes it triggers the process faster. Trust me, I called up the agent twice and after 2nd call the next day I moved to ip2. Trick is to ask the same questions in different ways.

My R10 shows Criminality recommend pass but still at the tops says in progress.. got me worried. Looks like ots a standard for VO Calgary and it's just waiting to be picked up by an agent.
