1st rule of thumb if they are not accepting your application number it means they won't help for sure. I have had one agent like that and I hung up and called back. Next agent was really sweet and told me the first agent didn't bother opening the application as if they take application number off you they have to make a note and you can also make a complaint if they are rude or don't help you. But if they don't open your application there is no way to tell who you talked to. So yes if they don't even bother opening your application then really tough luck.Spoke to an agent after 2 weeks. She didn't give any details nor took any details from me. Anybody got any good news after speaking with agents who refuse to share details?
Which stream? FSW or CEC? Inland or Outland?Called IRCC and got the following updates on my application.
AOR - 17th October 2018
Visa Office - Nova Scotia (Must be Sydney or Halifax)
Medical Passed - 15th Nov 2018
Eligibility - Not Started
Criminality - Not Started
Security - Not Started
Looking at the elapsed time, I was hoping that eligibility would be cleared by now. Well, I guess I should gear up for a long wait.
not necessarily long wait....they might be on last part of your eligibility check when you called....you can never be sure with CIC.Called IRCC and got the following updates on my application.

yeah and not generalizing but female agents are much better in my experience....Either that or I have been super lucky with female agentsThanks for the advice. I'll call back again, maybe tomorrow.
I'm FSW-O Indian nationality, US residence.Which stream? FSW or CEC? Inland or Outland?
I hope that's the case. Fingers crossed.not necessarily long wait....they might be on last part of your eligibility check when you called....you can never be sure with CIC.
It was a female agent. I spoke to another female agent last month & she shared details of my application, not this one.yeah and not generalizing but female agents are much better in my experience....Either that or I have been super lucky with female agents
From my observation FSW-O take up to 6 months for PPR. But considering you are a US resident, things should move quickly for you. Wait till 17th Feb and then call CIC again.I'm FSW-O Indian nationality, US residence.
