october 2017 citizenship applicants

thanks, i feel it will be a long waiting time from now,,,, none of Oct applicant gets invited for the oath, even those applicants whose decision were made back in January of this year....
Congrats! Test was fine. Wasn't too easy. Waiting for DM now. In the interview, did they tell you anything about your background checks, whether they were complete or still in progress ?
hmmm they didnt mention anything about the background check. i was more concern about my name change. i included the name change certificate in the application. but since AOR, the system always indicates the old name. I asked the interviewer to confirm the name and today i saw the name update into the new one online along with DM status. I assume the background check must be done before they invited you for the test?

According to my GCMS notes and the call center agent, my background checks are done. But getting a test invite doesn't necessarily mean they are.
It is a long wait from DM to oath at Scarborough. Expect 6-8 months worst case, IMO. Best case, if you're lucky, you'll get scheduled earlier due to other people cancelling. Good luck
Thanks. During the interview, I asked about this waiting time. Before we took the written test, the lady said most of you submitted your application in October which means IRCC have a year, till the end of this October, to finalize your application. At the interview I confirmed this with the interviewer again and he said it should be earlier than October.... pray now

Passed the test today with 19 of 20. The questions were a bit tricky. Reviewing the answers and correcting them helped me to pass
The interviewer said the processing is ahead by a month or two, so I can expect my Oath invite sometime during Summer(in August or September).

Definitely the test is not easy as we all think. Few questions are tricky and the answers are too close, so there is a high probability of making a silly mistake. My advice to people who are writing the exam in future is to go through the guide completely and make sure you review your answers before submitting the answer sheet.
