Nothing to update on my end, I am Oct 23 and have not received AOR yet. Thankful for this forum that helps me put things in perspective - if I was just sitting at home without news, I'd be freaking out that something is wrong in my app! But I see that so many of us from Oct 23 have not received AOR yet. Hopeful to get it before Christmas!!

I agree, I'm from Oct 16th and it's getting more difficult to stay calm while waiting for AOR but this forum shows at least some movement from that date so there's still hope

my ecas shows a wrong address(unit number), i think whoever entered my information in,messed it up for me.. i used the online tool to update my address 5 days ago but Ecas still shows the wrong address..i cover one hole another hole pops up somewhere else.

It is funny to see how group dynamics works in this forum.

We heard ill advises for mid October applicants not receiving the AOR yet, to call the IRCC centre, reapply and resend the application, use social media - web pages, twitter to contact IRCC, contact local MP. All of that just to waste the taxpayers money more, and create more backlog.

The latest ill advise is to call call centre several times - as apparently the agents are clueless, you need to reach several of them, and then compare their answers.

Calling cic center before receving AOR is a complete waste of time ... they have no clue about your application since it is not entered yet in the system it is still a peice of paper in sydney
My advice to all of people still waiting AOR is to re-apply after 2-3 months not before that ...

Funny you should say that because this forum makes some people far more nervous than they would be if they had nobody else to compare their application timeline too. I think this happens because some people get preoccupied comparing themselves against the fastest application instead of the average...anyway, good to see reasonable people here.

Is it me or has anyone else noticed that east coast applications (Ontario and Montreal) seem to receive AOR a lot faster than the rest of Canada. It could be the larger numbers of applicants but still....

Give it at least two to three weeks. ECAS updates take time.
