October 2017 applicants who have done interview long ago and heard no news since

I’m an October applicant.. did my test back in March as well.. still in IP.
I did a web inquiry last month and it said that their still checking eligibility requirements. And last time I called they said, my background check is done but their waiting on my resedency clearance. I been in Canada since 2010 graduated here and been working full time since 2013.

Didn’t think residency and eligibility will take this long but will see.. all we can do is wait and b patient.

None of any part of this whole thing should take this long, with the CBSA and CRA information trackable at their finger tips

They don't care about any request. I sent them a letter and a document that definitely proves that I have stayed in Canada during the last 5 years, but they paid no attention at all.

Maybe they're already satisfied with you physical presence in Canada. Something else is holding up your application, like security check...

They just want to keep us wait for at least a year. That's the only reason.

It looks like I got decision made this morning. Since Oct 31(my 1 year anniversary) I called in twice and was basically told nothing had been done on my file since the test. I then went to my MPs office November 9 and it looks like they did something after that...hopefully I get oath invitation soon.

I got the oath invite for Dec 5 today. Looks like talking to your MP does help.

I was in the same boat. Application in Ict, test and interview in March then no update. I contacted MPP office last week. They received the response that my citizenship has been granted and immediately I received an email for oath ceremony on Dec 5th. Contacting MPP office definitely helped me.
