Silly question I know, but is the Mycic account that everyone talks about the same as just checking status of application? Pardon my ignorance.

Your comment helps so much. One more think I will appreciate clarification is, you mean your wife just added you as her spouse, but not on the dependent section?

1)- all those forms you are talking about are intended to the SPONSORED who must fill them.
2)- if the kids are already canadians, they dont have TO FILL any forms.
3)- on the form 5406, the sponsored has to add all his familly members as it's asked. and dont forget to add the names in your original language characters, plus the english of course.
4)-to summarize: the sponsored personne must fill ONLY ONE FORM of imm 5406 and ONLY ONE FORM of 5669

Now, if you have had kids with an other wife ,here they must fill their own forms!

because you can check your file with your IUC without having an account
but when you open an account like MYCIC you find more details about
if you dont have one already, i advise you to do it

clic on continue to gckey... and follow the steps
and when you do it, loggin and look where you can link your application to your account

Hello Everyone,

It is great seeing everyone helping each other here.

I applied for my wife through a lawyer on Oct 26, 2016. I am just wondering, if there is any way I can see the status of my application online? I read somewhere you guys can see status of the application before the email comes through from CIC. If you could please provide me the link or share some info on this matter.

Please note, I have not received any emails yet from CIC.

Guys, I cannot log in to mycic for a few days now... is anyone else experiencing this problem? It tells me there is an error, or that i am not logged in, or throws me back to the home page :/

It is happening to me but I keep trying till it works (usually it works after 2 or 3 times).

Yes, I got my SA after 8 days. I hope they considered my case as priority since my wife is Syrian.

hope it's gonna be like this for all the process . and i'am sure it's will be like. because i met this sort of super cases where cic treated them fast

After it takes you back, try going back to the log in page from home page. Sometimes it will take you to secret question step.

If that doesn't work, try using the private browsing mode.

I checked mine and it is working. Try to delete the browser cookies.

this happens to me alot but I usually just clear my history and open the page again. sometimes it takes twice but always works for me. I logged in today no problems so its not an overload thing
