From what I've seen it seems that a passport request equals approval congrats!!!!c.aensran said:I just got an email requesting passport photos for my wife before a Visa can be issued. Does this mean that we're in the clear and this is the final steps before she can come over? When I check ECAS it says decision made for both sections but I haven't gotten an email or letter saying if the application was accepted or rejected.
I am currently in Vietnam with my wife at the moment and they want the photos to be sent in within 30 days of receiving the email. Also does this mean we won't have to go to an interview or could there possibly be more that we are required to do after this? Thanks.
It will be sent to the relevant place.Emily12 said:Application received oct 12 and received an email nov 3. I'm just wondering once I'm approved as a sponsor will the application be sent to the relevant place in the country I'm applying from or does it remain in Mississauga?
TIA
Thanks. The request came rather sudden so i didnt know what to expect and it seemed to skip several steps from what to expect according to the first post. I submitted our application on june it was received in july and it had been in process in silence ever since until now.rbay said:From what I've seen it seems that a passport request equals approval congrats!!!!
When did you first apply??
When your application number changes from the XF000 to F000, you can take that as your AOR1. When ours did, we got the official AOR email the day after. If you don't get an email soon, call them to make sure they have the right email on file. On my September thread, we've seen so many different scenarios of why people didn't get email, even though they have a permanent application number (F000). Also, our AOR came to my husband's email (applicant), but was addressed to me (sponsor). So also check every email you provided on your application, regardless of who's it is. Good lucknatashia21 said:Our app was recieved on oct 14
No email yet but the x was dropped infront of the F
How are you able to log in to MyCIC before receiving the AOR1 in email? What are you using as the identification type? I've tried using our receipt number from the fees paid but it does't work. Thanks for your help!CaroM8 said:When your application number changes from the XF000 to F000, you can take that as your AOR1. When ours did, we got the official AOR email the day after. On MyCIC you just need information like names, date of birth, place of birth etc.. I was able to link on MyCIC about a week before AOR1, then ECAS took a bit longer, and I used application number.floribec said:How are you able to log in to MyCIC before receiving the AOR1 in email?
