I wonder what's so special with our files (in not so good way!)

People have been getting DM's in 50 days now through Ottawa..

This is God speed and we are extremely happy and joyful.

My wife is already in Canada on Visitor Visa and luckily they have given option of sending passport to Ottawa for stamping. Just dispatched her passport, 2 photos and the passport request letter along with an Xpressport envelope to Ottawa, should reach them by tomorrow.

Once we receive her stamped passport, can we go to a local office for her landing formalities or would need to go on a border crossing only?

If we have to go to the Niagara Falls border crossing, can I (Applicant's spouse who is already a PR) accompany my wife during the flag-poling process?

Anyone who has either got their landing formality done within a local office or flag-poling at the border, kindly share your experiences.

We just received a "Decision Made" notice at long last.

I recently had to redo my medicals and, similar to others on here, the day after our profile was updated to "Medical results have been received" our status changed to "Decision Made". Wish us luck!

Well we have a child involved so we figure that is what is causing some of the delay (non-accompanying).

The 3rd party channelers they are talking about are companies that you send your fingerprints to and they do the ACTUAL lookup of your criminal (or lack of) history. They have legal access to the actual FBI database. CIC doesn't allow this because each channeler's PCC is slightly different, and they only accept the actual FBI version.

Now in your case, did the police station mail the prints directly to the FBI? Or, did they somehow do their own FBI check? If they mailed it, what did you put as a return address for the FBI PCC?

It kind of sounds like you have a state criminal check and not the FBI version.

Hey - sorry for bringing this up again, but I was doing some research for myself and this response makes me curious.

Can I NOT use a FBI-approved channeler for my (clear) FBI report to send to CIC for my PR Application? I haven't seen anywhere on their website that they do not accept their documents. I'm curious because the FBI-approved channeler's can get the report within a week (I'll be mailing my prints to them from Canada), where the direct FBI lookup of the exact same (lack there of) criminal rap sheet takes 13-15 weeks currently.

Just wanted to clarify... as this could make a huge difference in the processing time for my personal PR application.

Soon I will marry and will apply for my spouse.

She also have visit visa but I am not sure what is best way to apply?In land or Outland ?

I found one of my friend also got her spouse application done in less than 4 months in Outland.

Good day everyone, I want to update you. Today finally after a period of dead air at our vo we got DM I received an
email asking that my wife should send the new photos along with the passport for visa issuance. Good luck to the rest of you.
