Permanent Resident Application Status: In Process

1. We received ...'s application for permanent residence on October 19, 2015.
2. We started processing ...'s application on December 17, 2015.
3. Medical results have been received.

AOR1: Dec 8, 2015
SA: Dec 16, 2015

What does this all sum up to guys?

My application has been forwarded to CPC-Ottawa.

Is it normal for outland applications to be sometimes forwarded to CPC-Ottawa than the home country office because the person being sponsored is currently in Canada on a study permit?

You have up on your timeline file transfer, isn't that good news - sounds like SA approval to me) you think

Did you check e-cas ???.....if you see three lines I believe SA has been approved

Hi Needhimback, yep i got SA on 17th and I checked my ecas today and our file went IN PROCESS at singapore VO but i see only two line
1) we received your apllication and 2) we received medical result. My ecas for sponsorship still show In process but i got the email saying that i'm approuved to sponsor my wife.
I sent my package for csq for Quebec last Friday and they signed reception today.
Everything going on smoothly so far
I wish that you will get your's soon as possible

My application was received by CIC on 6.10.2015. Have not received AOR or SA yet. Unable to check the application status. Used my unique ID number given in my COPR and also in the PR Card in the format 0000-0000. Used country of birth and date of birth. Still no luck. Any one had similar issue, please share..

I also tried to check status using unique ID number and PR Card number because I also didnt receive any email or AOR from CIC --but didnt fetch any results. But when I tried to check status using Record of Landing, results came out. You can try to enter the document number in you Record of Landing. Hope it helps. It just worked in mine.

I do know that if you are from the US and applying with an Outland application it is transferred to Ottawa for processing. I am not sure about it being sent to Ottawa due to having a study permit. Sorry, wish I could help more.

I have read that you need the UCI# that is sent to you in your AOR email. It would be using the Sponsor's information.
Did you provide email addresses on your application? If you didn't, you will probably receive it in the mail.

I am confused, you have a COPR and PR, but you are waiting for AOR & SA? Are you the sponsor?

Try choosing "Receipt number" and put in the receipt number from your PR receipt and use the sponsor's last name, date of birth and place of birth. I have an application in process and I just tried it with my receipt number and it worked.
Also, when you put in your UCI#, don't enter it with the dash in between the numbers.

I am crossing my fingers that AOR's & SA's are received this week. I do wonder if CIC takes time off for the holidays, let's hope not.

Good News!!
I checked my ECAS and it stated that my application has started processing as of Dec 16th. So, that's not too bad since the SA stated that the file was transferred to Ottawa on Dec 10th.

I think I remember reading that they have Dec. 25, 28th, and Jan. 1 off. Not too bad for us
