Yeah for sure next week is our week. I am leaving the country for the next 2 weeks, my only problem is if cic ask for any doc I hope not.

I doubt they will ask for anything and even if they do they normally give a deadline (of 30 days) and you will be back by then

First post here for me ;D , I'm october applicant too. I sponsor my wife, she's from Thailand, and cic received our application on october 22th 2015. Hope to have first AOR very soon and then SA right after :P :P

I have a somewhat off topic, but related question...

Anyone know how long you have to enter Canada once PR is approved? And the visa is 5 years?

Since we are in Australia, it will take a few months to get things organised to move - possible more. I should know this, but I can't seem to find a clear answer on the CIC page.

Did you use the UCI # that they sent you in the AOR email? I was able to see mine online I think the day after I received my AOR. It should be up in a day or two hopefully

I think the visa is issued base on validity of medical so you need to land before your medical expires. 5 years visa is for contract workers only. When I land before as PR (dependant child) our visa is valid for less than a month and we need to land in canada before that.

As per above post, it depends on when your medical was done.

If lets say you did your medical in September, and get your PR in July, you will have until September to enter Canada.
You do not need to move out right though. You can simply enter Canada, get your papers and hop on the next flight back.

I updated the spreadsheet for you WishaVisa. It was weird, looked like someone changed ours and added an incorrect date for SA Approval.
I corrected it. Yay!! It changed your color, can't wait for mine. I am hoping tomorrow maybe. :D
