Hi all,

This looks like a great support group, too bad I have missed out until now!

Super quick intro:
I am Can, hubby is Am.
Our app was received Aug 21
Started processing Sponsorship Oct. 1
Letter from CIC stating I meet sponsorship eligibility, case forwarded for further processing to CPC Ottawa
Started processing the PR app Nov 19

Both of us were asked for additional documents and info, which of course were sent right away.

I finally checked yesterday (I had stopped checking eCAS as it was frustrating not seeing any change!) and the PR status changed to DM.
Of course I was really excited, but now a bit worried that my status as Sponsor still says In Progress.
They update eCAS Tuesdays, so it's almost been a week of DM - and nothing in the mail or email (all other correspondence from CIC has been PDF in email).

It's messing with our minds that there's a decision but we can't get any info!!

eCAS can update any day, not just Tuesday



And once again (maybe it should be a sticked post at the top of this forum) if you got DM and had no interview, medical was fine, no criminal history (and in those cases they would request extra info likely before making a decision) then you have no reason to worry. People, they are not going to reject your application without giving you a chance to provide more information on areas they are worried about.

They have asked for more info on a criminal history, but all charges were dropped, there SHOULD be no issues, but that was the last request we had, so it's my nature to worry.
You're right. I'm sure they would request an interview if there was an issue.

I'm not sure why they would post a DM without us having access to the info.

Asking for a friend. Unfortunately their papers got sent back to them because of an error in the paperwork. Will they have to pay the fee again or when they resend it in they can use the same receipt?

eCAS can update any day, not just Tuesday

Or almost never. I'm convinced there is one person updating that site and only when they're in the mood to do so. If it was automated then there wouldn't be so many discrepancies. Makes me laugh

Hello folks!!

My timelines are on the left. I am trying to login to ECAS using my UCI # which I had got when I became a PR last year under FSW.

Until before I filed for my wife's PR, I could access ECAS, but ever since I cannot.

Can someone kindly guide me as to why I cannot access, and if others are able to, what details did they input differently, to be able to log-in.

Well, you know, it doesn't really make sense. I look at today's technology and wonder how that can happen. I mean I get they have large volumes of paperwork to process but lots of businesses out there do as well and yet they don't fail at providing updates as much as CIC does. I don't even understand why you have to provide hard copies of basically everything. Electronic information should be acceptable in 95% of cases. But no, let's kill some trees instead. My assumption is that they operate entirely on typewriters and microfiche otherwise... ;D
