I mailed mine on Sept 26 and CIC received it on Sept 30. Still waiting for AOR1

Hi All...

This is only my 3rd or 4th post, but we are waiting to hear if I've been approved to sponsor my husband. I am Canadian (by birth), but haven't lived in Canada for many year, so we're a bit worried they won't approve me.

I sent everything in the last week in September from Australia, so it likely reached CIC in early October.

Haven't heard anything thus far...

You should be getting an email soon (AOR) from CIC. I mailed mine out on Sept 28, rec'd on Oct 2 and I got my AOR via my sponsor's email on Nov 25th. Keep checking and good luck!!

I didn't receive any email / letter of acknowledgement so I hope it's not lost somewhere... Of course I lost the postage tracking info the day after I sent it (baby brain!) so I've no idea if they even got it.

I'd planned to wait a few more weeks and call. Do you know if they can even confirm receipt on the phone? At least I'll be in Canada at the time, so the time zone won't be as bad. We currently live in Australia.

Welcome to October 2015 Sposual Outland Thread

I believe the only way you will know at this time if your package was received is when you initially sent in your package to Mississauga You would have been able to track it from your receipt - so sorry you lost it

But look on the bright side, let's assume your application was received within the first week of October 2015, chances are you will hear soon and receive your AOR -I'm sure your fine !!!!

October is now moving and those who's application were received are now receiving their AOR'S

just as Tracy said. You will receive it soon (Tracyca64 was the second person from our thread who received her AOR, with WishaVisa being the first)

Just stay with us and you will get all the support you need if not we can always redirect you to the appropriate thread(s) for further assistance .
