October 2015 INLAND sponsorship application

Hi everyone,

I sent in an application to sponsor my husband (who is currently in Canada) in October 2015. I was wondering from your experiences, when and how will I hear about any progress or updates?

Hi!! I too applied inland for my husbands PR and OWP. We just received an email today saying "no action is being taken to process your request for the following reasons: As a foreign National in Canada you are not eligible to apply for an open work permit until such time as you receive confirmation that your application for PR will be processed from within Canada."

Im pretty confused to this as I have heard that you are suppose to apply for an OWP at the same time as you are applying for your spouses PR. I am happy to finally hear anything from CIC but this wasn't exactly good news. I am curious to hear if anyone else has heard the same or any news?!

Have you received a AOR? We just received my husbands OWP (February 2016), but no AOR yet. I've been reading about people being able to check the status of their sponsorship application on ECAS but I can't get in.. This is all so confusing....
