Congrats!. What an excruciating wait!. It takes about 14 - 21 days to finalize everything. You're about to cross the finish line.

Thank you! Yes, it's been a long wait so another 2-4 weeks of wait is nothing.

Still nothing for me! I'm hoping everyday lol

Got ppr tuesday morning :)

Congratulations.........nata_cap.
I am so happy for you :).
We have kind of same timeline.
I am still waiting for DM or PPR.
did you get DM before PPR?
WISHING YOU BEST WISHES........

So After my telephone call last week I got an email yesterday saying
Thank you for your message concerning your application for permanent residence.
Your file is in Ottawa for processing and will be reviewed by one of our officers.

Now don't know if that good or bad........

But it a response.... Anyone get anything like this after inquiry

How long does it take for CIC to return our passports? any ideas?

Decision made today!!! Hope it is positive!

Decision made is most likely positive. More so if your passport is in their possession.

Today, I received GCMS notes and disappointed to see that my due date for Medicals, Security & Criminality checks is December 2016.

This is way far from now and don't know how much time they will take upto PPR....

Why they will take so much time?

Very happy to see that CIC has started moving to process the October & November 2014 applicants. So happy for you guys. I landed Jan 12th, 2016 at the Sarnia Border (came in from Port Huron, Michigan). I was the ONLY one there to land, it took maybe 12 minutes. I first met a male officer (he was not very nice), I handed over my COPR, Visa, and B4 form with a list of the things I was importing from the States. He now asked another officer (female) to take over my landing process. She was very nice. She reviewed my list asked how much I had on me and told me to take a seat. I waited 10 minutes, I was called back to review and make sure things are correct on my COPR, I was also asked if I had committed any crime. COPR was stamped and she congratulated for becoming a PR and went to look for a flag, she couldn't find one. Very painless , no extra information or questions asked. I am now in Halifax after driving through Illinois (US), Indiana (US), Michigan (US), Ontario (CA), Quebec (CA), New Brunswick (CA) and finally in Halifax NOva Scotia. Headed to service Canada in the next hour to get my SIN

MRC88 wishing a speedy processing for you. I'll of course keep in touch as this forum has given me so much. Some posted the website "CareerBeacon" through which I found a job prior to my arrival. Didn't have an idea of what CareerBeacon was prior to coming on this site. The $29.99 job seeker Linkedin premium did not work for me. CareerBeacon was free too.

Hi!

I'm a Oct 27 (2014)applicant! I've been waiting, today I got some news, but it wasn't what I expected! They asked me for my new passport(copies), cause I renew my passport back in Oct 2015, cause it will expire in Feb! But hopefully that means, that next week I will hear from them and that they will ask for my physical passport!

Most likely it would be a positive one. Soon you'll receive a request to send them the physical one. Did you inform CIC earlier for this changes or have sent them your renewed passport copy before they asked?
