Please let me know what is meant by received line disappears -

Does it mean that 1st line in E-cas -

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 6, 2014.

Disappears from E-cas and only two lines left on E-cas 2 and 3.

Or it means - Status change from Received to In process.

Thanks!

When you log in to eCas, you will see(for some ppl this is true) two lines with one having "Received" with hyperlink and the other with "InProcess" hyperlink.

When you click on Recd hyperlink, you will see one line update
When you click on InProcess hyperlink, you may see 3 lines update.

For me the Rec'd line with hyperlink disappeared after 1 week i saw the inprocess.

Thanks Srinivas,

But in my case, from day 1 i only see ' In Process' with Hypderlink

I dont have two links with hyperlink at page where i can also see my address. I mean first page after you login.

And when i click on hypderlink the new page opens and there are 3 lines.

1.- received and date
2. sent discover canada and acknowledgement
3. started processing date

Also on Explanation page

It says three status are possible

1. Received - I never had this status
2. In process - I can see In process from Day 1
3. Decision made - Will happen sometime in future

What do u say Srinivas?

Hi Friends

Any Idea after getting our case status on E-cas when we get AOR and Study book. It says they sent acknowledgement and book on Oct 6. That cannot be possible. Do we get AOR in a mail with study book. The question is when ?

Once we receive book and AOR by email, whats the next step?

As far i know standard citizenship process should be as follows

1. E-cas status first
2. AOR and Study guide by email or by Post.
3. Letter from local office - test date
4. After test - letter from local office for oath
5. attending oath ceremony

Please let me know if someone think it differently. I don't know where RQ form request, fingerprints, RCMP clearance fit in these steps. Lets discuss.

Thanks!

Hi,

It is possible that though you dont have the Recd line as mine, it might be following the same trail. Give CIC a call to see if they will spill out any beans or apply for GCMS if you're curious to find out. Those are the available options.

Thanks,
Srini

Substantially correct!
Although there may be requests for RQ and/or fingerprints in between.

1) Expect 4-6 weeks to get print AOR and booklet by mail (only if e-cas activated, for email AORs may be never)

2) Start reading and be prepared for the test, as recently many people are getting very short notice test invites like a week or two. You have ample time to prepare if you start ahead.

RQ - before/after step 3
fingerprints, RCMP clearance(only in background) - between step 2 & 3

Hello!!

This is written under my In Process Link of my Application

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 17, 2014.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 17, 2014. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on November 26, 2014.

Can any one explain what next???

Thanks

Application Packet sent back due to two simple errors on my daughters application.
I forgot to put tick mark on the adoptive or natrual parent box.
They returned my package and i had to resend it.

But thankfully, my wifes and my application have been considered complete which means i guess it will not be delayed.

I sent on 17th October 2014, my application was checked on November 24th and i got the package on 4th December.
Today December 5th i corrected and resent my application package.

If anyone is having similar problems are waiting please let me know.
Thanks
Sam

Hi and good morning
Yesterday i called CIC call centre and i asked about my application ,the agent was very nice and polite but when she came back to me ,she told me to call back by MID JANUARY although the automatic msg say that they processing now till Oct.20
I applied in Oct.20 hopefully it will be sooner than that.

Hello everyone,

Any updates from applicants who got their e-cas status? Any one received AOR and Book!

CIC automated Call services said they are processing applications received before October 1, 2014. I guess those who applied after and got some news are lucky. Or probably, it's because of the upcoming holidays and most agents are on vacation ?
My package was received on Oct. 23 so I guess we'll have to wait until January.

Hi Everyone,

I was finally able to log-in to E-cas today and see that my application is listed as received on October 17. I sent it on October 14th and it was received in Sydney on the 17th.
