looks like nobody in Montreal received AOR maybe we have to wait until January 2015

That's exact, it make no sens but it's not moving at all for Montreal's applicants for this 1st step... frustrating !

I think you guys are safe, as I read on this forum that few incomplete applications have already been returned from sept or oct batch. But I would still send case specific enquiry if I am in your shoes and don't hear anything by jan 15th. Because new rules might come in effect sooner in 2015 and depend on individual cases, some of us might not be eligible to apply until 2016. For ex in my case, I went to school in canada and am counting one year of that time frame towards my citizenship residency requirements. But under new rules, I won't be eligible until 2016.

You are not the only one I submitted on the 24th and still no progress ! I submitted from the Gatineau ( Ottawa region ).
I think it's because of the holidays, Xmas and end of year, usually people take a long vacation at this time of the year and work moves slowly. We should see things move faster when they come back in January ! Hopefully we will make it before the rules change !

I applied in October 10 from Montreal and until now I heard nothing from CIC I hope by January 2015 I receive something good luck everyone and happy new year

I just checked E-CAS and it has updated to In Process. The new line says that processing started on December 24, 2014.

My file was transferred to Edmonton office on December 24.

I received a call from citizenship office today, the officer was asking me my preferred office for processing the application. Because I filed my kids application with me, but she lives in calgary with her mom and I live in Edmonton. The officer was quite understanding of the situation and i really appreciated her asking me the proffered location. I requested it to be calgary office, but one thing that came out of this call was, me being October 2014 applicant, the officer has already started working on the file and are sending the case to the local office. The processing is definitely faster as compared to earlier and am really hopeful to get it all done within one year, as my kids passport is expiring and am in no mood to renew it.

Just called in CIC and spoke to a super nice agent

He confirmed to me that my background checks & clearances have already completed.

Immigration Clearance - End of November
RCMP Clearance - Mid December
National Security Clearance - 24th Dec

He said the file is transferred to Mississauga but CIC at Sydney hasnt received a confirmation from Mississauga CIC yet.

Asked me to wait for a month for the test date as that is the next stage.

Not sure if it’s the holidays positive mood that’s spreading to CIC… but I also just spoke with a SUPER NICE CIC AGENT and received similar response except that he said “Your file is in TRANSIT from Sydney to Mississauga”
I will create a new tread for Timeline from In-Process to Test date for Application submitted From August 2014 forward.
