Hi Guys,
I applied early October. have not received AOR nor any response. I emailed CIC last week as well and still haven't received any reply.
does anybody have the same problem. Any insight on whether mine is too late or not?

Please provide more details. When your app was received at CIO? What's your NOC code? What's your method of payment? Has it been charged? etc
 
Since end of July 2014, the time it takes to receive AOR has gotten significantly longer (the wait time is currently like 120 days). Right now, those who applied in the end of August to beginning of September are receiving AORs.
We don't know if the AOR wait will remain around 120 days, will get shorter now that the holiday season is over, or longer for some other reasons. There is no way to tell at this point.

But if you applied in October, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just watch out for returned application which seems to happen a month or so after the applications reach CIC. Also find out if your credit card has been charged or bank draft has been cashed yet.

just calm down, the September AOR just started, and August AOR is even not finished.
 
Thank you guys for your responses! My NOC # is 1225 and the application got there in few days. early October.
I just noticed that they have charged me!! I just see the reduction. What would be next to wait for? Does this mean preapproval on my application?

That's a good news. It means they checked your application and nothing is missing, so it's unlikely that they will return your application. Just sit back and wait until you receive your AOR. Judging from how things are going at this point, it probably will be about two months from now, but this could change. Regularly check out threads for August 2014 and September 2014 applicants to see if the process becomes faster in the future.
 
Looks like that's how long it's been taking. People whose applications reached CIC on August 27 are now receiving AOR as well as a few early September applicants.
My application reached CIC on Sept. 2nd. My bank draft was cashed on Nov. 6th. And I'm still waiting for my AOR. Hoping I receive it this week or early next week.
