Sis, binigay ni trewmenn ang link nato sa akin.I'm kinda sad na in process since 2012 pa yung papers niya.I have a 2year old son too who doesnt have a canadian passport yet,.Nalilito lang ako kasi noong nag.PPR ako they sent a separate email stating that they cannot grant my son a permanent residency status kasi dapat sa kanya is a.applyan ng proof of Citizenship and if may proof na siya dapat na daw akong mag.apply ng canadian passporr so he can travel with me.
Pero sure talaga ako ko na wala akong dependent sa IMM 0008 yung generic form na.confuse tuloy ako ano ibig sabihin nila.

Thats right sis your son must be canadian if he was born to a canadian parent. Meaning sisnce i assume canadian ang husband mo, automatic canadian ang son nyo but you have to apply for proof of canadian certificate from CEM. Nasa website nila ang mga requirements matagaltagal din ayusin yun. Now iif you are granted a visa hindi kailangan ng PR visa ng so. Nyo kase F1 or facilitation visa ang ibibigay skanya ng embassy, ang Facilitation visa ay para sa mga canadian citizen dependents na wala pang proof of canadian certificate. If your son is below 2 years old and theres an urgent need for him to travel you can apply for a limited validity visa pero if he is older than two years old then you hve to apply for a philippine passport so he can request for F1 visa to come with you in canada. In my case ang tagal ng in process ang application ng baby namin we called the call center last week and the agent told us that theres no time limit for them to review proof of citizenship applications. So im stucked at waiting for my PR visa then since she already has a phil passport then we will apply for F 1 visa when i am ready to immigrate to canada. I know everything seems to be a long process but thats what we all have to deal with. Have patience and pray a lot.

Thank you for the informations sis, I learned a lot.Btw its on their website that the processing for proof is 6mos plus add another 6mos if your child is born outside canada.I just wanna ask how many weeks ang processing sa F1 my son is turning two tomorrow na kasi just in case matatagalan Canadian passport niya may plan B ako.Kakapasa ko lang kasi ng application niya today.

Thats what we thought, that it will only take 8 to 14 months. Initially when we applied at CEm personally we were told that it takes 14months to get a proof of canadian certificate but then again when i followed up with them they cant give me any answer i was told that the application was transfered to CIC sydney and they have no knowledge as to what state of the review our application is. So we ended up calling the call center several times. Last year we were told that they are waiting this so called waiting period trying to decide if they would require a DNA test so daddy insisted that if they want the test done then tell us so. So we waited and to date thers still nothing. They said it can take up to 2015 to review the application which makes no sense at all. On the other hand, it is quick to obtain a facilitation visa. As long as you are given your PR visa then automatically the VO officer will ask you to submit the passport of your son for F1 visa stamping. Since your son is turning 2 yrs old tom ( happy birthday big guy :) ) its impossible for you to obtain a limited validity passport for him. Make sure you send CEM a copy of your son's proof of citizenship application (the receipt will do) you may send them a copy of the receipt here

https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=manila

Also i strongly advise that you apply him a philippine passport so when CEM calls you for your visa his will be available too. When you and your son lands in canada he may continue waiting for his certificate. Only problem is that he will not be entitled for health services not until he receives his proof of canadian certificate.

oo nga JKcal22 gang ngayon wala pa din balita..halos sabay sabay lang tayong nag PPR..sana naman bago matapos ang June visa na tayo.. :)

Hi! I got my PPR email today! ;D I just have a question, hope someone can help me. My kids are traveling with me and on Appendix A it's required to put their passport details. They don't have a passport yet because we haven't submitted their passport application to CEM. We didn't do it before because we were planning on submitting it once I get PPR. They only have their Canadian citizenship certificate which they also asked me to submit (just a copy) together with my passport. Should I submit my appendix A without my kids' passport details or should I get their passport first? 8)
