Hello everyone,

Finally ! Some movement on my file :

the "Received" line disappeared on saturday, I called CIC today and they told me that my file is at the Montreal office since today and that i passed all the security checks and everything...

Reminder : Sydney received my file on October 15th, they started processing it on January 17th. I am from Montreal.

I will keep you updated. I am crossing my fingers that the next step will be the test invitation.

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick update that I have received my Citizenship Oath Letter.

The letter is not pink. It's just on plain white paper.

Below is my timeline:

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) and sent out the guide on October 23, 2013.

We started processing your application on January 20, 2014.

We sent you a notice on March 31, 2014 to appear and write the citizenship test on April 16, 2014

My ECAS has not yet being updated but my oath is on July 8th, 2014

Good to see that there is some movement of cases in the Atlantic Region .. I haven't found anyone else from PEI on here, yet. Hearing of your swift journey through the process is really encouraging.

Submitted all required dox, passport stamps (translated), bills, cc statements, rental agreements, etc

Agreed. I'm in Charlottetown, PEI (Prince Edward Island) .. Halifax would be my local office as the one in Charlottetown was shut down two years ago.

I have my citizenship test on July 14 in Montreal ! From the day they physically received my file till the day I will do my test, it will have taken exactly 8 months and 29 days.

Here is a reminder of my timeline :

-Syndey received my file on the 15th of october 2013
-ECAS showed " in process" + " Received" lines on the 17th of january 2014
-" Received" live disappeared sometime in the beginning of this month, June 2014 ( around the 10th...)
- Called CIC to check status when I noticed that the received line disappeared and they said : Your file is on its way to your local office ( Montreal)
- Called CIC yesterday, and that's when they told me that my test is going to be on the 14th of July 2014 in Montreal and that a letter has been sent to me.

To my knowledge, I have not received any letter yet and ECAS is still not updated.

Finally ;D We were invited to the oath the day of the exam/interview but was waiting for the update in E-CAS.
