I am in a similar situation ( applied with dependants only ) I travelled back home and brought their passports with me. if they request for our passports, I will submit and if the visas are stamped, I will take the passports and travel back home again , then come back with them and we will all land together.

Thanks ujbaby. Since you applied in August, you will probably get your MR request and PPR before I do. So please keep me posted. I have heard both stories, Passport couriered/submitted to Ottawa and passport submitted to home country with the letter. When i call CIC call centre, they also tell me that my spouse can submit her passport at home country but I dont believe in most of the information from CIC call centre.

Hello Fellows,

Got my GSCM Note today and absolutely nothing have been started. Every sections had "Not Started". Due date for all activities happens to be a Year from the date my payment was received which will be 2013/12/07.

The only thing that said In progress is Criminality.

3days away from been a month. So about a month. I saw some in correct information and I will be requesting for a correction before they start processing the file.

Medicals

Eligibility is usually left blank until everything is complete.
Criminality - their will probably be a date on your note that this was requested. Once they do this, your file just goes back into queue until they are finished with other apps.
Security - always remains blank - you don't usually see pass/fail or anything else here.
Medicals - will be the next stage !

Mine was not left blank. It all said "not started". Only criminality had "in progress". Date on it was Nov 07 2012. Same day payment was removed.

Am not sure. All I know is according to the note, all the "Not started" and "In progress" (related to eligibility, medical, security, etc) was updated at the CIO" . There is another section that stated Application status - The application status said "In progress" and updated at CPP-Ottawa. My file is in CPP-Ottawa.

Isn't it contradictory ? Your notes says that your application is in progress whereas your ecas says "Application Received".

I know....but I have heard from other forums that sometimes they do not update ecas immediately. I guess it get updated once they see if meet all the requirements. At that point is where you get a medical request.... I do not really worry about ecas since my friend got his PR and ecas still shows medicals after 3weeks.. .... I hope those VO can update ecas asap.
