Wow. That is extremely quick. It coulld all be over with sooner than you think. I hopw for you it does because I know for the next 6 to 16 months I will be checking ecas daily and working on my patience. I have heard many people say that they have had mistakes on their ecas log in. Whoever enters it at CIC messes up a birthdate or forgets a letter in the name. I would try both yours, and your husbands info and if neither work, call CIC to see what's going on. I believe you should be able to log in by now. After I received my stage 1 approval I could log in two days later. Good luck!!

I cannot believe things like that happen, those employees should know how important this is, and definitely start paying more attention! That is outrageous!

or like me you can check the status of ur application online every single hour! ???

I used to do this until I found out they only update it once a week so now it's the first thing I do every Wednesday, which is how I found out that the decision was made haha!

Actually my info on ecas gradually came online. For a week every day a new piece of info was put in there. First started with my name only. Then my spouse was added and so on. For this reason I can't help not check the site regularly!

BTW I thought they update it on Thursdays! Oh pleaseeeeeeeeee I was expecting to get my second AOR tomorrow so this means I have to wait till next Wed? :'(

Well mine only updated today (I admit, I checked it on Tuesday just in case) so they have definitely updated already for this week at least once!

Hi Ross, if it's any reassurance, my mum applied to sponsor my step-dad (American) in March this year outland from London. She didn't have a Canadian tax document because she left Canada when she was a child. They didn't have any problems with stage 1 approval. I'm also applying from London to sponsor my husband but have never lived in Canada, so just sent my latest UK tax statement. Is anyone who has already been approved, in the same situation?

CIC call center Query !

Is it ok call the Call center if my application was filed on Oct 17 to CPC- M?

Do you think they will answer or will they mention about current processing time which is Oct 10, 2012!

And also when I call from US , 1-888-242-2100 not going through ? Is there any other number to reach call center ?

Hello Fellow October Applicants

I decided to call the call centre today. To at least ask if I have a UCI to keep checking online. She advised that I was approved Nov 19 2012 and a letter was sent.

Bacon...we submitted the same day....if you have not heard yet please call them. I am sure you are going through as much wonder as I was why everyone around us had already been approved.

Yikes. I called them again yesterday and the agent said a decision had not been made yet. Now I'm really getting scared that we screwed something up. It's frustrating how they are not forthcoming at all.

bacon did you ask for a UCI #? That is why I called this time. I was actually trying to wait until I saw you post that you were approved till I got worried. I know you do not want to bother them...but at least with the UCI # you will be able to keep logging in and checking. b/c using the receipt # DOES NOT WORK!

Ok I am sending super vibes to you. I know how frustrating it is watching people getting approved after you. You are happy for them but worried for yourself.

Hahaha the vibes must have worked! Called them again and the agent confirmed that we've been approved and the sponsor approval letter was mailed by snail mail today. Super Duper!
