I finally received some news, but unfortunately the news was not good.

I think the medical doctor who did my husband's medical forgot to do his x-rays, so the letter we received was just that he has to go back and get his x-rays done.

....AND THEY TELL US THIS NOOOOWWWW?????

What can I say? My husband is a typical man - not very observant. Hehe..
Anyway it's the onus is really on the doctor. He's supposed to know what should be done. He is one of the people listed on the CIC website. My husband has never done this before, and this doctor should have done it a hundred times.

Good day everyone!

We applied under SINP Family Category last Sept. 2011.
Is there anybody from the group that has the same case with me?
We are still waiting ,PRAYING, and HOPING for our nomination..GOD willing...
GOD bless us all.

We're still waiting, but...... heard some very exciting news today. My husband got a big fat envelope from the visa office today. He has to go pick it up from his mailbox today. He's on his way now!!! CROSS YOUR FINGERS!!!! PRAY FOR ME!!!! WHATEVER BRINGS YOU GOOD LUCK!!!

Thank you thank you thank you!!! Finally got his visa!!!
Just a question though...
The envelope contained our pictures and his passport. It also contained extra forms to fill out for Permanent Residency. But then... in the letter, it said that "before leaving for Canada, further instructions will be given". Does this mean we still have to wait for another letter? Or will they simply give him more instructions when he's at the airport???? Just confused!

Do you mean he received the CPR or confirmation of permanent residence and passport with visa?

Those 2 copies are COPR or CPR forms the Applicant is not supposed to fill those because only the CBSA officer here in Canada Airport will fill those they will take the 1 copy and the 2nd copy they will attach that in the Passport after the interview at the CBSA office.

The other Papers are just additional infos. incase you wanted to changed something like address before you land here in Canada and some instructions.

They sent him his visa and CPR forms.
Apparently (I just found this out from a friend who did this before)... in the Philippines they REQUIRE you to undergo a one-day seminar called "Guidance and Counselling". They basically teach you about the cultural differences in Canada, and how to survive in Canada. Something like that. Once you complete the seminar, they will give you a certificate and a sticker/stamp on your visa. Then you can go.

I got you that's what you've called CFO you can check this link below for you to understand your hubby need this so that he can get a CFO sticker stamp on his Passport because the Immigration officer will check for that before they'll let him to leave and board in his flight. Without this sticker and mint color certificate on his Passport Immigration won't let him to leave the Philippines.

Guidance and Counseling Seminar (GCS)- is for the Canadian Citizens sponsor

Pre-departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) or the Peer Counseling Seminar- is for the Permanent Residence sponsor

After he attends in one of those seminar and get the certificate and CFO sticker your hubby is ready to go. And about the COA seminar thats only optional he don't need to attend that COA because they will just discussed the culture and life in Canada. In my case I didn't attend COA and I'm here in Canada already, the important seminar was goin to CFO that's it.
