Hello one and all. Submitted our inland application which was received by Vegreville on October 27, 2011. Sent in my open work permit application as well. Additional info requested in january 2012 and sent back straight away. Hoping and keeping everything crossed that something happens soon, particularly the work permit. I hate not working!!!! Although from reading the posts on this and other forums it's going to be a long wait. Ugh!

I just realized on my APPENDIX A SCHEDULE A BACKGROUND/DECLARATION form question 6d where it says have you been refused a visa to Canada before, I answer NO by mistake because I was refused a visitors visa once before. Is there any way I can correct this? I am afraid if I don't correct it they might refuse me the visa thinking I was not honest. I am so depressed now please give me advice.

You do not need to worry. Send them an updated form. My friend did the same and he is ok.

This post has not been very active recently.
Has someone gotten news from Beijing recently?
It has been today 5 months since I submitted my application to Mississauga on October 19,2011. So far, I received an AOR from Beijing on February 24. My e-cas shows that Beijing has started to process the application on February 2nd,2012.

heyyyy guysss sorry i was away for fewww months cuz i was busy studing for my exams nw i m all done and jst waiting for the visa. i had a question my file is now transfer to new delhi visa office on december 15, 2011. so, in first week of feb i had to change my mailing address so i sended them a letter regarding this but now i havent heard anything from them. its been like 3 months and i havent got any letter from them. my ecas is not even updated and i heard new delhi visa office is quick but its seems like they are not cuz i m scared and i dun know whats gonna happen. let me know ????

hm, try emailing them and ask if they updated your address. My VO told me not to contact them until 3 months have passed

Hi everybody
Today, the Beijing Visa Office (VO) has requested the passport of my wife. She called me around 5am (my time in Canada) to tell me the good news. Only my wife has received the e-mail, and I would not have known anything otherwise. Every communication we have received so far were sent to both of us, but not this time.

However, does the passport request mean that the interview has been waived ? There is no word about it in the letter.

Help guys,

My file is already at the VO but I realize I didn't submit the form IMM5562 that ask for travel history in the last 10 years and the eight passport photographs. My question is do I wait for them to ask for it or send it to the VO anyway? If I don't send it now can it cause a major delay?
