Finally we received our letter saying that we've been approved for phase 1 and now the file's been transferred islamabad. the letter is dated 7th december, I'm just surprised that it took this long to reach us.

Congrats syedgj! I have update the tracking sheet. great news! Congrats to Treble1999 as well. I have updated the tracking sheet for you with an approval date of Jan 04 2012 please confirm this is the actual date.

OMG!! I just got off Skype with my wife and she just forward this email to me that she has received from the Guatemala City VO..

"Acknowledgement of Reception

Attached you will find a letter informing of the initiation of your permanent residence process. Your file # is: XXXXXXXXX.

You will be contacted again shortly.

a PDF file with the AOR is attached dated Jan 04 2012

Strange just make sure you are using the right UCI / DOB / Surname etc... If you were able to sign on before then I would recommend you call the CIC call center

Same here I asked that already earlier someone told me at the other thread that it took a month for him/her got access in their ECAS

if your trying to get into ecas make sure ur using ur UCI number and the last name of ur sponsor and ur sponsor's birth date and country. It doesn't seem to work if ur using the applicants name and birth, it has to be all info of Sponsor

I have sponsored my wife who lives in India currently. My timelines are as follows:

1. Application Recieved in CPC-M: Oct 04, 2011
2. Approval from CPC-M: Dec 12, 2011

e-CAS status:

Sponsorship Application Status: Decision Made

We received your application to sponsor XXXX on October 4, 2011.

We started processing your application on December 12, 2011.

We sent you a letter on December 12, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Permanent Residence Application Status: Application Received

We received XXXX's application for permanent residence on October 4, 2011.


We are waiting for PPR from New Delhi Visa Office.

Please my case to Excel sheet.

What I dont understand is, in e-CAS Application for Permanent Residence says 'Application received on October 04, 2011'.

I got a letter on Dec 12, 2011 stating that my application has been forwarded to New Delhi.

How to find out when did they receive the application in New Delhi and when do they start processing ?

Did any of the October applicants see a different status/Date in Application for Permanent Residence column ???
