October 11th New forms, will Police Certificate requirement period be dropped to 3years?

The current application asks for a Police Certificate from each country where you were present for a total of 183 days or more in the four (4) years immediately before the date of your application.

Will this requirement be changed to "PC from each country where you were present for a total of a 183 days or more in the three (3) years immediately before the date of your application?

I have a question regarding "Do I now need police certificates only for the last three years?
The police certificate threshold ("have you been present in another country for more than 183 days in the previous four years") is independent from all the rule changes above. There has been no indication by IRCC that they intent to change the regulations regarding police certificates. So you should expect that four years is still the rule."

This leads me to my next question: If they keep 4 year threshold, I wonder if this would be required for me no.

I landed on March 1st, 2014, so between the four years of October 15, 2017 - October 15, 2013, I have been present in Canada for 3 years and 228 days. This means that for the other 137 days of that four year period I was in my country of origin (between Oct 15, 2013 - Mar 1, 2014). So, could CIC still require me to get a police certificate, even if I haven't been abroad for 183 days WITHIN the 4 years?

Hi,
I live in calgary with my family and eligible to apply for citizenship on 21 oct. under the new changes made by the govt.I have few questions to ask firstly how much time cic need for complete processing of the citzenship application secondly in june 18 i wanna go back home due to summer vactions of my kids. Should I apply on 21 Oct. Or the next year? if they will ask me for the knowledge test when i am out side the country then what will i do then ?its a great confusion for me any good suggestion will be appreciated .
