Mississauga seems to be the slowest of all ... I havent got any update since Jan 23 .... MY application is IP from Nov... Is anyone still waiting like me and the application is at this location ?

Hi Everyone,

Just to update you that I had my citizenship test today. The test was very easy and finished within 5 minutes. After the test, I wanted about 1 hours and they had the interview. The interview was simple not more than 3 minutes, the officer confirmed the dates from my passport and asked the basic questions. If you cross the border normally there is no stamp on your passport so I had the I90 printout which helped me.

Now I have to wait for the oath which could take 2 to 4 months according to them.

This forum has been so helpful and good luck to everyone. The last leg is not far away so guy keep your patience :)

I dont think they are slow to me it looks they are dead. I have seen some people in other threads, that they are waiting since august 2017 and no updates. I live in toronto and they send my file to Mississauga I dont know why and still waiting patiently. Hope for the good.

Mississauga had tons of oath ceremonies in April with 2 ceremonies scheduled on some days. Even if you assume 30 applicants in a ceremony that makes it a few hundred in just 1 month.
Mississauga and Scarborough process the most applicants in the country.
The reality is that not every applicant is on the tracker. The numbers in this forum are a poor representation of the real volume.

Status changed from Decision Made to Complete. This brings to an end my immigration journey in Canada. I came to Canada 8 years ago as a graduate student. My primary intention was to study and return to my home country to continue my former employment but suddenly a split second decision changed my career trajectory for the better.

Here how it started. One afternoon, as I was revising my final graduate paper at the UofC library, the fellow that sat beside me asked me to accompany him to a restaurant for lunch. Initially, I hesitated but then I decided to join him. On our way to the restaurant we saw one of the leading global EPC's doing a career fair, we stopped by and then we started chattting with them. They asked us to email our resume. The rest is history. Five weeks later, I joined the company as a full time permanent employee and I have been with them for over 6 years now. The job has taken me to many countries of the world including my own country (not for visit but for work).

Thanks for this forum. I really appreciate the forumites for volunteering useful information and tips.

I wish everyone the very best in all thier life endeavours.

It is done. Myself, along with 52 others became new citizens yesterday afternoon in Windsor. Best of luck to all of those who are still waiting.

In tracker, your IP date is Nov 22. Shall I update to Nov 14?

What date you got test invite and when is your test? Is it Mississauga office?

I'll update the tracker with the information. Thanks.

Scarborough is not better, I had to wait 6 months to be tested and may have to wait another 6 months to take the oath. Just hang in there, this all will be over by October since they promised 12 months.

Congratulations. Did you know why it took long to have the Decision Made status? Was it the security check? I see it has been 2 months since you wrote your test.
Good luck

You are very right, and most people with great timeline will not come and post here, people tend to look for answers when there is an issue.
