BTW.. I was doing practice test on v-soul.com
seems like some answers are wrong..in the site.

Which province has the most bilingual Canadians?
A. Quebec.
B. Nova Scotia.
C. Ontario.
D. New Brunswick. -- Isnt this is correct answer?

No, Quebec is the right answer.

A is the right answer.
Most and bilingual Canadians are the key for the answer.
NB is the only officially bilingual province but it doesn't put it on the map as the 'most bilingual Canadians'.
You can have 500k francophones in NB and 1m anglophones but in Quebec the numbers win regardless of the oratio.

Got it..now i understand, thanks for explaining it :)

There are multiple version of the test, you only get one. So your neighbor will have a different test paper.

oh I see, someone then gave incorrect information on the other thread.

Just checking if anyone in the Toronto area so far have received a test invite this week. This wait seems unusually long after FG request when compared to other cities.

Some said..2 sets of test handouts are given..Is is true? What is the actual passing marks? 80% ?

When I was taking a test, the lady clearly told all of us that there are 6 sets of the questions to be distributed among all...

Thank you Sherych. 3 weeks ago, I submitted a request for urgent processing due to work. Yesterday I called CIC to inquire about my application for urgent processing. The agent told me that my request was denied and that there was still an ongoing verification on the information on my application. I asked how long would it take for them to finish the verification, she said that she could not answer and I should just wait. I had so many trips abroad due to work, I was already thinking of the worst possible scenario, the Residency Questionnaire and providing all information about my work trips. I already prepared all proofs of my trips: letter of invitations, plane tickets, visa stamps, page of the immigration stamp, boarding passes of all my flights since I became a resident inCanada in 2010. I already submitted together with my application the details and proof of travel. Maybe that was the reason why I was not issued an RQ.

This morning, I checked my status and it was updated to Decision Made! There are 10 schedules for oath taking in Edmonton for April, I am hoping to be in one of them. Good luck on your application.
Hi there! First of all, congratulations to you on decision made!!

I think I'm in same boat as you. My test was scheduled Feb 22, 2018...Passed with 20/20. No updates from there yet. I too had lots of trips abroad just because I love travelling. I was laid off for few months and so I was backpacking around Europe.

Now, I have a potential job offer where I would get better contract (compensation and vacation) being Canadian citizen compared to my current citizenship. Does this qualify for "urgent processing"? Would recommend I go thru "urgent processing" or just wait? Is there any point even in calling "call center"?

Would love to have your take on this situation.

Cheers!

Is this job offer Canadian based? Is it real or potential?

If real and Canadian based, and you can prove it, then yes, you qualify for the urgent processing when you apply.

I never heard about switching to urgent after the application was sent.

I let you be the judge: I have already discussed salaries and benefits. On email, the recruiter has also stated that they want to offer me the job...so I have it in writing. Only thing I don't have is actual offer letter yet, which I believe would happen within next 2 weeks.

I have seen a number of cases on this thread and another thread where people requested urgent processing after test was done.

I guess what you are saying is I have to have Canadian offer with actual offer letter, not just email.

So if I'm stuck on In Progress since passing the test Feb 21 then it means a background check is happening?
I would say if you're IP for longer than 1-2 weeks after your test, then yes, very likely that your BG checks are in progress.

What you need to get in writing is that you absolutely need to be a Canadian citizen to get the job, and I believe the job should be based in Canada. If you satisfy those requirements, then I believe you should be able to qualify for urgent processing.

FP request: Jan 23 and submitted Jan 24 and status is inprogress from there on.

Your background checks are likely ongoing. Next step should be test and interview invite, then oath if all goes well. Good luck!
