Hope Everyone is great. I would like to ask Those who had their Test at Hamilton Office. How long does it take from your specified time of test until you finish the whole process. Something came up and I have to manage the time frame. Thank you in advance.
My wife took the test yesterday at 8:30, and she left the center around 11:00.

thanks a lot. my exam is 8:30 too. how was your wife’s exam?

Now 50 days since IP, How long we have to wait to contact them?

The process for citizenship takes up to 12 months, so this is outside the scope of them being able to help you.

My friend got a passport in 2 days under urgent request. He had to pay an extra fee to pick up the passport in person but was able to catch the scheduled flight in the evening. Congrats and good luck!

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. The CIC website says "you must wait 2 business days" after your Oath Ceremony to apply for the Passport. Did your friend apply right after the Oath Ceremony? Thanks.

She passed, and the officer has no problem with printed stamp translation instead of certified true copy. The officer also checked and tried to match all passport stamps to the calculator but lots of stamps are missing since my wife has nexus. He said he will request report from CBSA and it will take 2-3 days to finish, after DM expect oath letter in 4-6 weeks.
I am still waiting for test invitation, and I can imagine my interview might take even longer since I have more than 30 trips to us and other countries...

Yes, just after. Apparently if you have a very good reason then you can apply right away. I am not sure what reasons he gave apart of possibility of losing a very expensive ticket to Asia that he could not reschedule or return.

All experts, going for 3 weeks out of Canada. My application is still "Application received" so not expecting test invite soon. Do I need to inform CIC and if yes, what is the best way to do that, I mean just email will work or any form to be fill. Thanks in advance.
Can anyone reply to this?

I do not think that it would be necessary to inform CIC. Your app is not even in process so there is a very slim probability that you will get IP and test invite in such a short time. However, if you try to inform them they may want to make an exception for you ;-)

If your application is still at “received” then i would not worry about the test being within three weeks. You still have the “ in process” status and the test invite is usually sent before the test by at least two to three weeks so it’s going to take it’s time. My advise is not to inform CIC.

Hi guys I did my test today in Montreal. 19/20. My test was at 1:15- I got there at 1pm and 2 on the dot I was out. Very fast and efficient. The officer was super nice; she checked my IDs and passports and nothing else. Asked few questions and told me next step is the oath. She said I should expect it anytime between now and October lol. Anywho my part is done. Whether they call in two weeks or few months nothing we can do. Wishing you all fast responses and actions from IRCC. I’ll keep you posted of oath letter, date and when it’s held. Peace
