Dear members,

Hello, I have lost my expired passport, but its expiration date was before my first arrival in Canada.
Actually, I entered Canada in June 2014 and became PR the same date, obviously I used my new passport (still valid) to get enter, my expired passport expiration date was for September 2013. Since my PR date, I did not leave Canada.

So this could be an issue on the citizenship test/interview day?

Thank you in advance.

But I havent received that correnspondence letter yet. I dunno if FP request or the other req. :( they said they mailed it Dec 20

Mine it’s like this they send my test invite in line 4 on Ecas and today en Ecas they say line 5 that the send me a letter yesterday etc

Thank you very much for the info;
I chose the option that RCMP should directly send it to IRCC.
Question! once the document will reach to IRCC they will delete the line 4 on Ecas which is about finger prints or is there any other way to find out that RCMP has already sent documents to IRCC?
No idea. For me status is still IP even though i received PPQ/RQ/FP. :( there is no 4th line for me.
my fingerprint agency had no option to send directly to IRCC. so RCMP send FP certificate to me. i have to post all my docs together including PPQ/RQ and FP, etc..etc..

It doesn't matter "IF" your expired passport is outside of the date of your eligibility period (last 5 years BEFORE the day you applied for citizenship). They only care about those 5 years.

That 4th line is saying that we have sent you a correspondence, but they did not mention what it is for, yesterday I have received the letter about finger prints to check from RCMP kind of a background check, the letter does not say anything about PPQ/RQ.

Tnx for your response.
My eligibility period is : from 10-2012 to 10-2017.
My previous (expired) passport validity: from 09-2008 to 09-2013.
First arrival & PR: June 2014.
I also sent a photocopy of its biographical page (together with photocopy of my current passport), because I usually keep an electronic copy of every document.
I really have no idea if this could be an issue or not, actually the expired passport has no business to do with my post-pr life time.

Hi, my ecas just has been updated to 'in process' on Jan 9 2018.

Please update the spreadsheet accordingly. Thank you so much

Finally got my AOR now but I used several methods I don't know which one finally worked. Calls definitely didn't work. Apart from what I shared earlier concerning my webform experience. I sent a registered letter to Sydney with an attachment of my application receipt with an articulate explanation of my frustration considering that my application reached them in since 27th October, from my tracking they got the letter on Monday. Family of 4 the mails came in 30 munutes apart though still waiting for my wife's mail.

So I wouldn't tell which method worked out. October applicants your documents are not missing, just keep hope alive. Goodluck.
