Wow. Your application seems to be progressing at a really smooth pace. Congrats.

Congratulations! Is the test appointment an email these days? earlier it was by mail - right?

I am not really sure. I was so suprise in that email actually cause when i checked my ECAS it just say about the correspondence for finger print then after few hours i got this email. It doesnt show on my ECAS though that i have an test invite.

For those wondering, I also got my exam invite by email. Montreal applicant. Didn't expect it.
Maybe CIC is switching to less paper these days...

Not that I am very worried but for curiosity I decided to call IRCC. The agent I spoke to informed me that my application has not been opened. She painted a scenario which looks convincing to me. She said that they have few staff working on about a total volume up to or more than 6000 applications submitted in just October (an all time high from a single month). She said that Agent 1 may have finished the share of the October applicants he/she got and moved on to November applications assigned to him/her while Agent 2 is still working on the October applications. The processing speed varies from agent to agent, however she encouraged me to call again by the end of January 2018 if I have not received an AOR. The first sign that my application has not been opened is that my old house address and old email still shows up in their system under my file.

So fellow Octobians let us exercise patience, relax, enjoy the Chrstmas season and avoid panic.

Actually what prompted my curiosity was that last week Tuesday I sent out a CSE for a possibility of urgent application for me due to latest development and the reply I got today was not too specific, it gave 2 options to 1. Download forms and apply for urgent application if I have not submitted an a processing 2. To call the contact center if I have submitted an application to determine if I am qualified for an urgent processing.

Can you share when you got the invite and when is the test ? I'll update the sheet. Thanks
