This is certainly inaccurate information. As obviously shown from the data collected through this forum, delays occur for a variety of reasons. Reapply if you want, but I would suggest additional patience to not gum up the works with unnecessary multiple applications.
Do you know if it's possible to call them and get the agent? Tried yesterday and they say they can't even put on hold and just hang up.
 
My application has been delivered on October 26, 2017 but I haven't received any AOR yet. Is there any place to enquire about this? Also, what's the subject/sender name or the email address of the AOR email. Just want to ensure it's not caught up in spam or elsewhere. Thanks.

The subject is ‘Do Not Reply’. And you see Canada flag as the avator.

May be Depends on region or city .... mine is online status update & invitation sent by mail - Calgary office
 
For me, it was an email. and it is not updated in the ecas system yet.
title is "Citizenship Test/Verification of Documents Invitation"
