my citizenship application was received by the sydney office on 4th december 2017 and returned to me by 22nd june 2018 because there was a slight error in my physical calculation sheet, i will be reapplying on 27th june again with the necessary change....how to i request them to process my application immediately as i have already lost 7 months....please advise?
Hello, can you please specify what was the error on your calcutaion sheet? Were short the number of days required or you missed mentioning the days you were out of the country?
The reason I am asking is that I did quite a few trips to the States and I may be missing the actual dates I traveled. Thanks

Status changed from Decision Made to Complete. This brings to an end my immigration journey in Canada. I came to Canada 8 years ago as a graduate student. My primary intention was to study and return to my home country to continue my former employment but suddenly a split second decision changed my career trajectory for the better.

Here how it started. One afternoon, as I was revising my final graduate paper at the UofC library, the fellow that sat beside me asked me to accompany him to a restaurant for lunch. Initially, I hesitated but then I decided to join him. On our way to the restaurant we saw one of the leading global EPC's doing a career fair, we stopped by and then we started chattting with them. They asked us to email our resume. The rest is history. Five weeks later, I joined the company as a full time permanent employee and I have been with them for over 6 years now. The job has taken me to many countries of the world including my own country (not for visit but for work).

Thanks for this forum. I really appreciate the forumites for volunteering useful information and tips.

I wish everyone the very best in all thier life endeavours.
Congratulations:)

Just an update, Did my test on the 27th in Mississauga I applied from Toronto. Interview went well , the agent verified all my stamps in my passport but never looked at my translated stamps, all she cared about was the dates (so paying to get my non English or french stamps translated was not necessary in my case). Today my status says decision made.

If the dates on the stamp are in English/French, then the officers generally do not need translations, even if the text around the stamp may be in another language. However, if the dates are in a totally different script, then translations are a must because the officer will have no idea whether the date falls inside or outside the eligibility period.

Yes, true good point. That is my case, my dates were in English but text around was not.

Hi Everyone,

I have received the GMS notes (Computer notes) today after 4 months of wait. They use to email these notes in the past but now they started to send the information in a CD. It's so detailed that It took me few hours to read. In the end, I found that my file is waiting for oath ceremony date. Its been over two months since I wrote my test. The letter that I got after the test says 3 to 5 months. So I am still in the waiting game. It seems that they have done all the security checks before the test date.

I want to mention that If you are waiting for a long time, it worth ordering the notes as they are so detailed and now they have started to even include all paperwork that you send with the application, even they had the envelope and courier stamps on file :)

Hope that I receive the Oath information soon.

4 months! You must have requested the paper files instead of a snapshot of the GCMS notes. Did it include the officer notes and a copy of the paper we sign during the interview?
