October 11th 2017 - Citizenship Applicants under 3/5 rule

Hello All.

1. To everyone that received a test or oath invite by regular post (i.e mail), was there a "Do not forward" marker on the envelope?

2. Do Calgary office send oath by email or by regular post?

Reason I am asking is because I am moving to toronto for work for 5month and do not want to keep my lease in Calgary for that 5 months.

Yes, they can ask such questions. If you look at the end of the book they have a bunch of questions and information you have to know about your province and municipality. They're meant for you to fill in the blank.

If it's not in the ONLINE version of the book, it's NOT in the test. Nothing you have to fill in yourself is on the test.

I just received my Oath invite today and it was through email. I've heard that lately Calgary office has been sending out Oath invites through email mostly.

So, when you said at the end of the book, thats where I looked. :)

At any rate, I think that a rational person could conclude that they wouldn't be able to standardize a test for each provincial riding, so I don't think there's any harm in saying one doesn't have to worry about knowing that for the test.

That said, I agree with Joshua1, that filling that in may be helpful on the Federal side...

One of my friends in Edmonton received a question asking him to name the municipality he lives in and he was supposed to write in the 'blank'. No options were given. But that was only one question. We were never asked any such question in our test and neither were other people I know (except for the one friend).

My library here in Vancouver has the answers to these questions for my area so we just got it through them and went through it once.
