Yes they do. That's why you cannot leave the country until you get your Canadian passport.

Hi! Can I know when you submitted your application? And when you had your test?October-Scarborough applicants... cheer up! Your oath is coming! Just got Oath letter - ceremony May 12!
Montreal office is the "Oath Star" this week!
Scarborough sent 1 invite, probably just to let us know they aren't dead ....hoping to see more invites coming out of scarborough in the next few weeks!

E-cas update: 4th line is added to e-cas this morning. I haven't received email yet. I'll wait for email or letter in mail to see if test invite is from Mississauga or Scarborough visa office. My father is a senior, so it would be interview for him and not actual knowledge test.
4. We sent you a notice on April 19, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on May 15, 2018
