Come Oct 11, you will have :
  • approximately 2.5 years as PR credit (Residency after March 2015)
  • approximately .66 years as Pre PR credit.
Total of approximately 3.16 years of residency, you might well be eligible for citizenship. Please create a Physical presence Calculator on 10/11 and enter landing day as March 2015 as shown in PR card. The date shown on CoPR is handwritten(I think) and is prone to error...

Thank you so much!

This may be a dumb question, but.... the current application instructions has 2 addresses. 1 for regular mail, 1 by courier.

What's a courier? Someone like me walking to the office? Or a company like FedEx?

What is ExpressPost?

Do we need police certificate for c6. ? I dont have that. Do you think thatll be a requirement

No reason for police cert. requirement to change under C6. I would suggest reading the current guide, It has all the info you're seeking

. Police certificate(s) (as required)
You are required to provide a police certificate for each country, other than Canada, where you were present for a total of 183 days or more during the four (4) years immediately before the date of your application.

Consult How to get a police certificate (police check) for specific and up-to-date information on how to obtain police certificates from any country.

Note: If you are unable to obtain a police certificate from any country, provide an explanation in the space provided in question 6 M on the application form.

@Vicky333

-XpressPost (Canada Post) and Priority (Canada Post) will both deliver to the courier address and post box. The difference is you cannot ask for signature if you're sending to post box address, while you can ask for signature when sending to courier address. My application for citizenship was received successfully using Xpresspost today using the courier address.
-Fedex, UPS etc will only deliver to courier address.

How can folks apply on Oct11 when the forms will be available Oct11. You must be fast to fill and mail the same day.

And forgot to add that police clearance requirement may stay 4 years, meaning most applicants will need to get police certificates...
