Sir, first invitation for test comes or ecas updates???

ecas is updated first. If the test invite is an email - it could come at the same time. Only few local IRCC offices have started sending email test invites. Most of them still send snail mail test invites.

I've been checking my status online and it's still IP but yesterday I got a letter in mail asking for my FP that was sent out on february 8th. It's not showing online though. Is that normal? And I'm hoping for a test invite by the end of this month(considering the pattern in the spreadsheet); does FP have to do anything with the invite?(in your opinion)

wow! that is the first i have heard - nothing on ECAS and they have sent a FP req out. Considering average timelines - we can say FP req has very little effect on the overall timeline. Other applicants have reported 2-4 weeks of delay in the process.

We have seen FP request before the test invite, and after the test invite - so it is very common. It is not hard to complete - just a bit of hassle really. Good luck with you application. I have updated the ss with your FP request.

Slow processing is the price we pay to live in the relatively warm embrace of the GTA region. IP since Dec 08th here as well.

My ecas status has not changed and does not reflect what they told me in the emailed. I will call them tomorrow for sure and plan to go to the office with fully prepared and see what happens. They cant say that it's an error 24 hours prior. I will fight for sure...

I wouldn't go much aggressive on them, if officer doesn't get good vibes from you they can cause further delay. Just be decisive and nice and in logical mood.

I agree completely. While I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say I totally understand your sheer frustration - they absolutely have the right to cancel your test - error or not. I suggest you call them to see if they can provide any further info but I strongly suggest you don't turn up. Chances are they haven't completed all the checks required before you can sit the test.

I passed my test on 7th Feb (Calgary) and officer told me that my file is marked for Security Clearance. She advised me that usually it cleared in couple of days but some time it take more, but give them a call if it's takes more than a month.
Anyone is in same boat as me? and knows more about this situation?

I feel your pain, i have been in process since November 27th..Edmonton office. No notes according to agents, no comments on ecas, no nothing..Just quiet...yet i see oath invites and all in edmonton. AR october 16th...
