They will need to appear for an interview for ID, original documents, etc verification. No knowledge test required.Parents applied for citizenship. For both of them physical presence are more than 1500 days.
Here is what CIC shows
They are both over 65. What is expected timelines after this?
- We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on November 20, 2017.
- We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on January 9, 2018.
- We started processing your application on January 16, 2018.
Thanks a lot, I will wait for few more days and will call if status will not change.Perhaps try calling them ? It is believed that CPC-Sydney does some basic background check on GCMS before applications are put in process at local CPCs. Not sure if your GCMS notes would show anything if it hasn't started processing yet.
They got AOR to IP in less than 2 months. This is quite fast! 12 months have been the benchmark processing time for the past couple years... even though a lot of people got theirs in less time, but that it's still considered the timeframe and with the increased level of apps, who knows. Thanks a lot, I will wait for few more days and will call if status will not change.
Would be probably processed at the same rate as other applications being processed by the same office, previous months tracking sheet should give you an indication based on where they applied from.Parents applied for citizenship. For both of them physical presence are more than 1500 days.

You are right but when 75% applied with you have status 'In Process" or "Decision made" than it may little concerning. Anyways thanks for your positive attitude. They got AOR to IP in less than 2 months. Calling the call centre may get you frustrated since agents don't have anything to do with processing... hopefully we will all get this over with by Fall.
Cheers!
Yeah, I completely understand. You are right but when 75% applied with you have status 'In Process" or "Decision made" than it may little concerning. Anyways thanks for your positive attitude.
i think the keyword is 75%, unfortunately there will always be a % of applications processed slower than others, without a clear reason. Hope yours starts moving soon, good luck! You are right but when 75% applied with you have status 'In Process" or "Decision made" than it may little concerning.
