Fingerprints are typically requested when your name and/or biographical profile results in a hit in the RCMP/CSIS database. They need your FPs to make sure it's not you.

IMO, your passport has nothing to do with the FP request. Also, FWIW, I concur with Spyfy that there's no point in sending an updated copy now. Just take it with you to the interview and explain if the need arises.

I told them in my application that I lost my previous passport, but I should also mention that my names (both first and last) are very common, maybe there was a hit.

I think it is a finger print request. Test invite would usually have a test date on it.

Attention- those who took test and appeared for interveiw with minor.

I and my my 5 years daughter applied together. Our applications are in process now but daughter will be out of country soon for an extended period of time. Is it required for her to appeared during the interview? Will it effect my interveiw or application process?
