you don't need to renew the PR card.My application is still under IP. My PR card is going to expire on Feb 11, 2018. Is that any problem ? i don't want to renew my PR Card.

YesI read somewhere that if anyone travel more than 6 months (stay more than 6 months in one country) in the last 4 years only then submit PCC of the country where you live. Otherwise don't. Am i right ??
Updated. CongratsMy status changed to in process on january 25.
Please update..

I think people don't get email for IP status, you will have to check by yourself. At least this is the case for me.Dear All,
As for the IP status, which one comes first: the email or the update (third line) on your Ecas?
Thanks

Correct, no email is sent out for AR to IP status update.I think people don't get email for IP status, you will have to check by yourself. At least this is the case for me.
Gotcha, I meant from when I was a Permanent Resident/International student.Did you provide your FP before ? I never did.
FP is needed when your name (partial or full), and/or biographical profile results in a hit in the IRCC/RCMP database. They need your FP to make sure it's not you.

Even as a PR or international student, I never had to provide my fingerprints to Canadian authorities. I was totally expecting to get an FP request this time, but haven't got one yet.Gotcha, I meant from when I was a Permanent Resident/International student.
most likely FP.I got an update on ECAS. It says "We sent you correspondence on January 24, 2018. If you have no yet provided the information or requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you received the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required."
Is this an RQ or FP request?
