my wife has 1 PCC, she has travelled to USA and Canada in the past for a month. 2-3 other countries for a shorter period and I'm guessing that's causing the delay...

Travel history can be long if you were travelling for holidays etc. If you do not require to have a PCC for that country it should not cause any delay in processing

exactly, their reply take months sometimes. I also dropped email just now. Lets hope for the best. I am trying to call IRCC also but it is not connecting at all.
After waiting for 140 mins, I could get through to ircc and got the worst news ever!

I am so confused right now. I have no idea. I don’t know what the ghost update was for.
I advise you to call again. Mistakes can happen and perhaps the agent made a mistake during the call . You got a 2nd GU and it is hard to believe that your eligibility has not even started yet after 5 months. Don't lose hope and try to call again.
Yes i will call again on Thursday. Today killed my morale and positivity!

Also when you say 2nd GU, you mean the eligibility passed GU which comes a month or month and a half post the MEP?
