for me my status is showing as

Aug 2 - Despatched from MEA
Aug 2 - Received at Toronto

And no update on the BLS website since then. Is this normal.
I’ve seen people getting their oci card or purolator tracking on the next day of Received at Toronto update

Aug 5 - Delivery Delayed due to Incomplete address Label generated by BLS. Address corrected by calling Purolator
Aug 6 - OCI dropped off at Home by Purolator.

Hi, I am applying for (1) surrender passport for my wife and I and (2) OCI for wife, myself, and two kids.
The OCI portal asks for the following documents to be uploaded for myself and wife.
Current Passport, Employment/Work Letter, Indian Origin Proof, Indian Visa, Marriage Certificate, PIO Card, Relationship Certificate, Spouse OCI Card. I understand that some are not applicable like PIO Card and OCI Card, but what is it with Employment/Work Letter? It is not listed on the checklist but still being asked to be uploaded. Also please confirm if Indian Visa document is same as = Canada COPR (landing paper) to be uploaded?
Can someone please shed light on it if any of you uploaded Employment/Work letter? I looked at the forum and one person asked similar question here, but there was no response so asking. Thanks in advance.

AFAIK, you don't have to upload employment/work letter because it is not mentioned anywhere in the document checklist (at least for the Toronto Jurisdiction). You can leave that field blank IMO.

If you belong to the Toronto Jurisdiction :

Indian Passport (For Current Passport and Proof of Indian Origin), COPR for Indian Visa and Marriage Certificate are the only documents you'll be uploading online.

Applying surrender and OCI at the same time in Toronto jurisdiction. The OCI online application after uploading documents generates a PDF of the application. This already has my scanned photo and signature. I have a black and white printer, so when I print, it will all print black and white. Do I need to paste photo on top of existing photo? What about signature (only sign on page 4 of the application where it states Declaration?)? Why do they make these things so confusing!
