What bank gives free drafts? Mine charges $8

Scotia preferred and ultimate accounts do. All banks have similar tiers of accounts which offer free drafts.

Its free if you are paying the banks $15 or $30 towards banking fee - F the banks !!

Or if you have top tier account category that allows almost all fee waiver if you maintain particular minimum balance at all times.

Copies of any observatory pages, first and last pages are sufficient for both Canadian and Indian passports AFAIK.

There is a page called "Observations" in the Indian passport (its the page before the last page in the passport, I think). Not sure it is located in the Canadian passport.

I am applying for my mother's OCI soon and I have a question. Her indian passport was surrendered in Bahrain in 2008 and at that time the Embassy used to retain the cancelled passport instead of returning it. So I just have a letter from the Embassy saying that the passport was surrendered on so and so date. Will there be an issue with the application as I am supposed to scan and upload the cancelled passport copies in the online portion of the application?

tried that it shows the delivery info about my original documents returned which was on 7th july

just now status got changed again "counter delivery to bls center after oci stamping"

what i understood from this is i think it got delivered to bls montreal from ottawa hci

well if thats right next two days are holidays so i should get by monday

Yes. Take a look at the OCI document checklist for instructions.

DOCUMENT CHECK - IMPORTANT GUIDELINES  Please attach the following documents mentioned below in original and also bring copies of the same on LETTER size paper.  All photocopies have to be Self-Attested by writing “This is a true copy of the original,” signing and dating it.

Can anyone who submitted in Brampton (through Purolator) please confirm how long did it take to get the passport through Purolator delivery service since the BLS site updates status to "Passport ready For Collection after OCI stamping"?
