Please check the BLS Tracking. I see that BLS have updated the courier tracking number on my application. OCI site still shows as not received at Toronto.
If you don't mind me asking, which jurisdiction did you apply from? Toronto/Vancouver/Ottawa?

Please get her signature. No need for the thumb impression. Please ensure her signature matches with the one on the Canadian Passport and Surrender Certificate. Just in case BLS matches it with those docs.
Thanks a lot. One more question related to this.

In the printed Application form under Declaration section -> Application for minor child there is a field "Signature of Applicant". Does this need to be signed by the child too?

Don't sign it yet. Ask at the BLS counter, they asked me to sign it on my child's behalf. But ask there and then do. Also, a suggestion to take an extra copy of the form, in case you make a mistake while signing you can use the other filled form.

I just did this online on ECI website after signing up and filling up the profile with EPIC number and Indian phone number. You may need an Indian phone number or email ID alone may suffice. This is something to be checked. Form 7 has some fields that need to be filled with their digital keyboard.

Once submitted, you will receive an acknowledgement.
DId you create new account as Overseas Indian voter or Indian resident voter? I created account as Overseas Indian voter, its not letting me fill online form 7, asked for fill in details of EPIC number. I tried many times to enter EPIC number , its giving me error "EPIC no not in the right format, not Match. Let me know how did you create account and filled EPIC number?
Thanks

Hello Everyone, Quick question, Is it possible to apply for OCI from country other than Canada (Except India)? For example, if the family is in canada and want to apply oci from country other than canada, is it possible to do it? Does it require any additional documents other than proof of address?

Just checked and found that the status of my application on BLS website has changed to "Counter Delivery to BLS Centre after OCI stamping". Check yours too, probably updated for you as well.
Just checked BLS tracking website and 12 digit Purolator tracking number popped up, so basically main OCI status tracking website is not getting updated after OCI dispatched from New Delhi. You only need to keep on tracking through BLS tracking website once "Counter Delivery to BLS Centre after OCI stamping" shows and next day you see 12 digit purolator number there then you will receive an OCI very next business day. Hope it helps, cheers :)

Did you get the voters id in India when you were living there? Then it is a resident voter. If you got it as an NRI, then it is the other one.

The names have to exactly match voters id for a match. It took me a while but then it worked. There is also a grievance portal which may help if this doesn't work.

Ya, I got it when I was living in India, I tried to create account as resident voter but I dont use that registered phone number anymore, its 16 years I made this voter ID, and Phone number is mandatory, lets see I will try again today and see if I can do it online.

Please advise for new application for Adult. I am sending a postal application (through Canada Post).

Q1. What is the amount that I have to send in the form of draft? Per my reading it should be:
a) $376 drawn on "The Consulate General of India - Toronto"
b)$1.70 drawn on "BLS International Services Canada Inc."

Is this correct? The BLS draft details are not clearly mentioned on the website.

Q2. For return courier - can I send a prepaid envelope? What is it that is normally used by others (BLS's services are expensive - what have others used in the group?)

My apologies if these queries have been answered previously.
