Thanks Abbas - I have booked for in person appointment - So u just carry originals, provide a photocopy of the same and then I believe they return back originals...
For OCI, do they do any stamping on Canadian passport or do they just provide OCI booklet?
No they don’t make any endorsements on the Canadian passport
They will return the originals after verification at the counter
Just sign … no need to write anything else
Self attested copies are only required to be submitted to BLS
applications submitted in Mississauga with DOA of 24Apr showing processed today, 15May. timeline of 3 weeks from DOA is like clockwork for most GTA submissions!

Agreed. There's always a fine line between goodwill and being lazy and entitled. In fact, on YouTube, there are literal page-by-page instruction video tutorials where the OCI process is discussed and mock filled up. It's in Hindi variants too. A simple search of 'OCI tips' on YouTube gives a very thorough fundamental.
And if you flip through ten-twenty pages on this thread, most questions will be answered.
Hi Everyone, Need a bit help in understanding the OCI Process. Recently I became the Canadian Citizen. I surrendered my Indian passport and I have got the surrender certificate. For the OCI, I wanted to understand what documents would be required for a divorced person. I got married in India but got divorced in Canada. I was reading somewhere that I need to get the Divorce certificate notarized, get it attested from ministry of ontario and consulate general of india. Is this correct? Any other document required?
That is true. Consulate fee goes straight to the Indian consulate and BLS has no links with it. And for the documents, you got it all listed correctly.
