Can anyone share a walk-in experience for the Surrey Office? I am trying to apply for an Entry Visa on Monday.

I am planning to do the same. Anyone?
Has anyone applied for entry visa at BLS surrey on Oct 26th? What were they told about processing times?

I just did walk in entry visa app for minor. Here are few points:
Application:
Choose UNEMPLOYED for occupation details for minor
Say 'NA- Minor' when asked for Employer details
Take 2 physical photos identical to the one embedded in the form
Take child birth certificate and both parents Cancelled Indian Pport and Current CAD pport
Take Parents Marriage certificate too just in case.
Take consent form duly signed by both parents
Parents have to sign on page 2. Child, if able, can sign under photo on Page 1 of top left corner under the pasted photo
Very important point- there is a point in the Application where it asks for 1 reference in India and India phone number. Make sure you give the phone number of a relative in India who will answer the phone promptly and vouch for your entry visa application. Do not choose one of those cousins or uncles whose phone is always ringing and there are 1 million missed calls, Preferrable give grandparents or close siblings phone number in India who are interested in you coming to India, not that brother in law who does not want to see your face anymore :0) The BLS person specifically asked me whether the India phone number will be answered

Timelines:
15 days max though counter person said can take 1 month. But it should happen anywhere from 1 week to 2 weeks. Maybe sooner if luck favors. Worth the try so all your bets are not hedged on OCI.

i have booked appointment under “passport section”on nov 3 , for “visa services “ at bls brampton. Do they really care for what purpose i booked an appointment.
2. I am also applying for two minors , one them is student other is not going to school yet . So should i fill unemployed for both minors.
Any suggestions on this please . Thank you

What I remember is the Bldg 60 does visa. Bldg 40 does SC and OCI
Check whats mentioned on your appointment t document

So i can’t enter building 60 , if my appointment letter shows building 40. Any idea about it ??

These 2 buildings are separate.
40 is in front of Rona
60 is adjacent to Rona. This building also has Service Canada.
You can try your luck but I have my doubts if they will let you in to Bldg 60 when the appointment says Bldg 40

Hi i have similar questions, my bls application date is 13 oct for 2 minors(postal application brampton) , now on 20 oct status changed to “under-process “
Is it the same thing , they might not need new info or documents???

Does your application show up on OCI status site? If so what is the Acknowledgement date?

We had some reports of people who have used Visa appt. for OCI at Brampton. If that works the opposite should too. I think they use a common list of names in both buildings to verify your appt. in which case the type wouldn't matter. But better get confirmed by someone who has been there recently.

It is indeed quite a complex situation. Windsor is quite a distance
Did you try checking the passport appointment at Toronto office instead? they have services at one center only.

Entry Visa Update:

Applied : 26th Oct at BLS Surrey (4 hours in lineup)
Processed : 27 Oct by evening.
Status on website : Your visa is Processed and Printed.
BLS Status: In Transit from Consulate General to BLS Centre

Should get it by tomorrow.

Evisa and OCI still in progress

Bls status shows processing at general consulate
Application date is 20 oct (postal application for 2 minors)

Hi, all. Need some advise!
I have applied for my child's OCI on 25th September at BLS Toronto (in-person application). Status on BLS website is "Processing at Consulate General" and status on OCI website is "UNDER-PROCESS" with date of acknowledgement as October 11th. My flights have been booked for November 29th and this travel is very important for me.
Given my timelines, I am mainly looking for advise on whether I should apply for an entry visa or just wait for OCI to get processed? Appreciate your suggestions.
