Hello, may i know how much they charged for the OCI cover?

Hello, I had my walk-in appointment on Monday 20th March ( Toronto). They will not tell you separately the charges for OCI Cover. they will issue it finally when the application submission is done.

for me, some application printouts ( as I missed uploading the marriage certificate), Original_cancelled_indian passport - Return & the OCI card they charged for '4' people me around ... 83 *4 approximately 332 CAD ... ( i was shocked initially, then they explained postal charges, etc... ) anyhow had to pay that much amount.

agreed woh chuna laga diya... lekin kya karen registan(Desert) ke jaisa hain BLS. Ek hi option pay it that's all no point of arguing ,,, They told only in Brampton in Person collection is allowed ( as it is the Main branch)

and as you are aware already ( regarding my place of birth Notary), He told might be my application might be delayed or reverted back he was suggesting to change the Canadian Passport ( for change to Birth )

1 - PHOTO: so many people have spoken about using PP surrender pics (which had a white background) for OCI too. however, OCI pics specifications say that the background should not be white...... can you pl advise.....

• Photograph to be affixed on the application should be a square shape of size not less than 51*51mm (with 80% coverage of face). It should have plain light color background (not white) without the border with front view of person's head and shoulders showing the full face in middle of the photograph. It should not be stapled and not have any signature

2 - MARRIAGE REGISTRATION DATE: I got married years before getting a marriage registration certificate (which I did for PR purposes). do i write actual marriage date or registration date of the certificate?

3 - NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER: what do i put in this field? SIN or leave it blank?

4 - RELATIONSHIP WITH ROOT INDIAN: i am seeing this field in my own form (of an adult applicant). what do i write here? self (i was born in India)?

For this I would only say BLS waala chutiya bana raha hain...
In my daughter's application the Indian passport had New Delhi and Canadian passport had Delhi mentioned. Created the affidavit, the agent at the counter did not bother to take the copy of the affidavit let alone see the original, I told her include it in the application.

I have a query regarding OCI if anyone can help. Adult male +70 born in Africa applying for OCI based on ROOT father (i.e., Indian national parents).

OCI application returned with reason:
-Applicants birth certificate is required with both parents name there on which should be attested by High Commission/Embassy/Consulate of the country, if birth certificate is issued by any other foreign country other than Canada.

1)Prior I had sent an email to Vancouver Consulate OCI division and they confirmed it doesn't need to be attested by Indian Consulate. Just the birth certificate and passport of root entities is required (i.e. Indian national parent).
2)Called Surrey BLS because of last name vowel name discrepancy and was advised to provide an affidavit.
2)The attested birth certificate in my assumption only applies to minor childs.

Please advise if anyone experienced the same for Adult OCI application with a foreign birth certificate. Plan to go to BLS with the email history from Vancouver Consulate. thanks
