Great! I have similar timeline of Processed on Nov 18 and received in Toronto.

Question to everyone:

1. How days does it take for the consulate to send the printed OCI to BLS?
2. How many days does BLS hold it before shipping?
3. Does it make sense to 'pick up' or option of 'courier'?

I have flight to India on Nov 29th evening with only 5 business days remaining.

I would be highly appreciate if any senior member could reply on this thread.

Can you provide an update about your status? Have you received the OCI before your flight?

I submitted my application at the Toronto BLS today (2nd Dec) and have my flight on the 20th of Jan 2023. Worried about whether I will be able to get within the travel dates.

Hey if we go with the latter option -

Will the immigration in Dubai not question on the use of Canadaian passport?
Because you used Indian passport to enter Dubai and you are using Canadian passport to exit Dubai? Is this allowed?

NO every immigration control know india do not have duel citizenship carry 2 passport international journey is big problem please avoid -if use your canadian passport you can get 30 days visa fee free entry UAE if you use indian passport inter dubai how can explain for exit canadian passport in dubai.

It all depends on BLS personal when they get there hands on our booklets now they have to individually address it and put in envelope.

Mine says “Passport ready For Collection after OCI stamping)” I had paid for drop off

Hi, as I have urgent reasons to travel to India, I'm thinking of applying for visa to go to India cuz OCI takes around 2 months. So my query is if I can apply for OCI from India itself as well?

For walk-in OCI applications - Do they keep any of our original documents - esp Canadian Passport for OCI processing? Or they just look at the documents and return them right away?

BLS website says u could do it separately after you see documents ready for pick up. Will wait till next week .
