@eas2lv there has been no change in the status on BLS as of yet. How would we know that the tracking number has been generated?"Passport ready For Dispatch after OCI stamping" tomorrow (16th) and tracking number later in the day.
Purolator delivery: 17th
Too early in the day still. Wait till end of day, and if no update check on purolator using application ID.@eas2lv there has been no change in the status on BLS as of yet. How would we know that the tracking number has been generated?

Was it someone's experience or speculation? In any case, if questioned, tell them what the reason is.Hi @eas2lv - I just read a comment on a OCI related FB forum which said that if one travels with their entry visa and the OCI is processed just during their travel but was not received by the travelling party, at the port of entry in India, it seems the immigration official may question as to why they are trying to enter India on a visa rather than the OCI. Do you or any of the other members here know of such a thing?
Did u got ack today? For entry visa , would same process work as in OCI for no given name?
I mean is self- attested declaration needs to be attached?
Are the systems so nicely integrated that once they scan your Canadian passport they will know there is an OCI associated with it. I doubt based on how they process the application. This is what i found on the OCI forum on FB by a user, it is my opinion that this person is speculating.

if your OCI is processed/received after you clear immigration in the Indian port of entry it doesn't matter. But if its received before, they will question you at immigration.
I agree with you @forw.jane . This is the scenario: I am at the Delhi port of entry, I produce my CAD passport along with Entry visa. The only connection between my CAD Passport and Entry visa to a OCI which has been processed in the 'system' but not received by me is : my first last name and date of birth. If the first and last name happens to be a common one like for eg: Virat Kohli, then the case becomes even more complicated. Now an immigration official has to deduce by the first and last name and date of birth that the same person has an OCI in the system. Now where this changes is- if they are using the Canadian passport number as an unique identifier and then matching that with an newly processed OCI in the system. The only issue I have in all this is- I read in the FB forum, that when an OCI is processed, all other visas are automatically cancelled. The fear i have is- if i travel right after my OCI is processed, while at the port of entry, what if the official says 'your visa is already cancelled, where is your oci booklet'?Are the systems so nicely integrated that once they scan your Canadian passport they will know there is an OCI associated with it. Admin, please update the tracker. Thank you!!
This is really crazy if true. People are applying for entry visa because of slowness in OCI application processing. Auto cancellation is the last thing you need.I agree with you @forw.jane .
