OCI on US passport vs Canada passport

BLS support on phone said people who have an OCI on US passport either they can continue it as is or if needed it can be transferred to Canada passport. At any given time an OCI is attached to one passport either US or Canada.

Seeking your suggestion : would it be better to continue OCI with US passport or Good to transfer to Canada passport? In what way this would help us ?

I have OCI on expired Canada passport, just need it with me when I travel - its ok, u can get it transferred over to current one as well. Eitherway, there is another passport type book u get too

I wanted to know : is it better to continue using existing OCI issued based on US passport or better to transfer this OCI to Canada by giving canada passport details once we get the Canada passport?

Any advantages/disadvantages by doing it ?

No adv/disadv, to Indian auth - you are OCI but if I had to pick, I would do it in country I am residing ( atleast the most )

I have the passport type OCI on its own. It’s not attached to any passport.
