OCI for dual citiziens

Hello,
Not sure if its the right forum, do not see any other dedicated forum.
For dual citizens (US , CA).Is it mandatory to have CA passport for applying OCI, is it not just enough having US passport and CA citizenship certificate?
Anyone been through this?

Where you applying OCI from(USA/Canada)?

I think BLS is not authorized to process USA citizens OCI as you don't have Canadian passport. It's with VFS. You can call and check.

I doubt it they would allow as we live in Canada.

I was suggesting to call BLS and check not VFS.

Ok, I called them they say I need to have CA passport, I feel they may not have adequate information , sent an email to consulate cg.toronto@mea.gov.in, have not got any response. Not sure if the email address is correct or anyother dedicated one available.
